Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning
Our client's aim was to strengthen safeguards against threats from malicious bots, by developing an AI system that incorporates customer specific vulnerabilities into its machine learning algorithms.
What did our client do?
Traditional bot detection methods such as CAPTCHA, fingerprints and heuristics often inconvenience users, but they can easily be bypassed, raising potential cybersecurity risks. Our clients recognised this flaw and determined that applying machine learning capabilities to AI could analyse and assess visitor threats based on thousands of data points.
Their team developed a platform to implement various bot mitigations that seamlessly integrate with existing firewalls without slowing networks or inconveniencing users.
How did we help?
Given the fact that their project aimed to address a significant technological problem and that it required a team of experts to produce a solution, our specialist team instantly recognised this client’s eligibility for R&D tax credit relief.
Our consultants began collaborating with the clients in order to identify the qualifying activities and identify their qualifying expenditure, before taking the lead on producing an in-depth technical report that met HMRC’s strict standards. Following this, we went on to submit the claim and undergo communication with HMRC on behalf of our client.
This process ensured that our clients’ R&D tax credit claim adhered to the latest HMRC policy, allowing them to receive a significant financial benefit. This financial benefit will allow our client to extend the reach of their platform, strengthening cybersecurity via their unique model.
